Flashback: Nemacolin Woodlands Resort Artist Residency, Spring 2019

Last year, I spent April and May in the woods of rural Southwest Pennsylvania on the Appalachian Mountains. I stayed in a house called Waldon Pond on the campus of Nemacolin Woodlands Resort that was converted into a home studio. My window overlooked a portion of the golf course and pond complete with geese, chipmunks, woodchucks, a fox, and an American eagle! It was a truly magical environment that inspired Sally the Golf Cat, a pixie sized cat who landscapes a golf course. Reminiscing about Waldon Pond is bitter sweet during quarantine and the COVID-19 pandemic that is still ongoing. But, I look around my current surroundings and I know there can be inspiration wherever you go!

Have a Pleasant Day
