As of April 2026, I no longer live in the downtown tiny house featured on the Tiny Home Tours YouTube channel after 1.5yrs of bliss and bullshit. But, I thought it would be fun to write about ADUs regardless. I still love and believe in tiny homes, so I’m bubbling with thoughts and ideas. It will feel like playing the SIMS, but with words and ideas. Let’s say this is an ADU artist’s studio behind an abandoned historic mansion in Texas. What are the laws and regulations? How is it designed and decorated? Surely, the imaginary neighbors are nicer than the ones I had downtown.
