Back in 2017, I approached Swirl Bakery in Flower Mound, TX about displaying my art in their exhibition program. They agreed and I hung paintings on board from my CAKE series depicting colorful collages of suburbia. They also gave me a gift card to eat in the cafe!
Most local businesses have shown me more kindness and professionalism than I have never seen at an arts institution. Swirl Bakery was no exception.
Recently, Swirl Bakery closed after 21yrs in business. I have precious memories of my mother and I brunching there together, so Swirl Bakery will be missed. Learn more about their story here.
